End of Winter Celebration Lunch

A big thank you to Paul Ansell for arranging today’s run to The Hunting Lodge Winery & Restaurant

Beautiful weather for a drive 15 x Triumphs, 7 x moderns and 35 people attending for a lunch of platters & pizzas made for a great way to kick-off Spring

Swanson Station Cafe “pop up run”

A gorgeous day brought out 9 Triumphs for a fun drive from North to West, ending with a great lunch at the Swanson Station Cafe

Waikino with the Morris Minor Club

Thank you everyone for an enjoyable trip to Waikino. Despite being a Morris Minor Club event, Triumphs were abundant, and a solitary Thunderbird joined us, complete with a spacious boot, perhaps capable of carrying a broken Spitfire if needed. We explored the remains of the quartz stamping and gold refining plant, followed by an informative museum visit for some. The scenic Karangahake Gorge drive was busy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Waikino Pub served a delicious lunch, but they were perhaps overwhelmed by our group’s size

Chris Spur of the moment trip to Taupo

Beautiful autumn day for a back road blast to Taupo. 386k round trip and both Vitesse performed faultlessly. As did our SLK interloper

Glenbrook Vintage Railroad

Great to have a mix of 15 Triumphs, Rovers, a Mercury and some moderns along for today’s run to Glenbrook Vintage Railway.

It was a beautiful day 🌤️ for a train 🚂 ride, followed by a side trip to Glenbrook Model Railway, just down the line 🛤️ at 99 Morley Road, Waiuku

March Brit & Euro 2024

It rained today, but it didn’t dampen spirits at the Brit and Euro Show at Howick. I’m not really biased, but the ATCC had the best Club display. The Club gazebos kept us all relatively dry, even the Prime Minister, Chris Luxon hung out with us during a heavy shower. Interesting to see his security remained outside 🤔

The standard of cars entered in the Annual Show and Shine was very high, challenging for the judges, with points coming down to a tiebreaker in a couple of categories. Well done to all the winners and well done to Andrew Young for taking out the Hyde Cup with his beautiful Stag.

Thanks again to Graeme Brown for his Swiss precision organization of our display. Graeme also left out showing his Triumph to cart all our Club equipment in his trusty van, also took home all our wet gear to be dried out at the end of the day.

Thanks also to everyone who brought along the home baking.

What a Club!
